Leeton Masonic Village Aged Care Facility
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Leeton Masonic Village Aged Care Facility
A fifty-bed aged care facility including a commercial kitchen is a single storey development on a Greenfield site. The project was completed as one stage and is a total of 3842 square metres. The brick veneer building includes offices, activity rooms and dining facilities, as well as lounge and clinical facilities.
The project was fastidiously monitored in terms of both quality and safety and a full suite of documentation was in place for both. The rigors of both disciplines were inculcated into the local subcontractors and there was a zero man hour loss due to injury.
The project contained a number of environmental initiatives, namely:
A rainwater capture system allowing room run off to be used for toilet flushing, irrigation and other non-potable uses
Solar panels for electricity generation
Extensive indigenous plant use in the landscaped areas
The project was successfully opened by the Governor of NSW and has operated at near capacity ever since. The number of defects encountered has been minimal and this is primarily due to quality delivery and attention to detail by ICG.
